Universal Model 1050SS Gas Conditioner

The thermoelectric cooler from Universal uses the Peltier Effect to reduce moisture levels to concentrations manageable by dry basis analyzers. The conditioner is packaged such that it is easily incorporated into any CEM system.
The arrangement includes:

Technican's Note High ambient temperature dramatically affects the efficiency of a thermoelectric conditioner. Please select Durinert coated or glass/kynar heat exchangers for SO2 or NO2 sampling applications.
Helpful Hint If moisture does break through, the sample pump will automatically shut down to prevent damage to any attached gas analyzers. Remove the water condensate, lower your sample flow rate through the conditioner to maintain a <40o dewpoint, and continue sampling.
Apex Instruments 2-Stage Gas Conditioner

The Apex chiller incorporates the use of glass coil condensers to remove moisture from a gas sample. As all components are glass or Teflon, this chiller is excellent for sulfur compound testing.

Helpful Hint The customer must supply chilled water or coolant to the coil condensers via the supplied peristaltic pump. For extended operation, a refrigerant unit can be provided to chill coolant without the use of an ice bath.

Baldwin Model 5210 Gas Conditioner (Low NOx)
The Baldwin Model 5210 gas conditioning system in a low NOx configuration adds key items and details to the standard 5210 conditioner in order to efficiently transport low concentration NOx. Unique features include Durinertâ coated 10-inch heat exchangers and a Teflon headed pump that is dedicated for use on low NOx applications only.
In addition, the ceramic filter and Teflon tubing are completely replaced after every rental. This allows the system to maintain the inertness needed. The system can handle up to 40% water vapor at an ambient temperature of 70oF and flow rates up to 8 lpm.

The Baldwin Mini Portable gas-conditioning system is miniature gas conditioning system designed for flow rates up to 4 lpm. It incorporates two 2.5-inch heat exchangers (one active one passive), dual-channel peristaltic pump, water slip sensor, sample pump and 0-5 lpm flow rotometer. The MP-425 is excellent for portable gas analyzers or temporary CEMS that only use a few liters of gas flow.

Perma-Pure Permeation Tube Gas Conditioner
The Perma-Pure heated gas conditioning system incorporates a Nafion® selective permeable membrane drying column to remove water vapor from a gas sample without removing water soluble components of interest. Stack gases are passed through a secondary sample filter and then through the drying column. A counter-flow of compressed, dry air is passed along the drying column to continuously wick moisture away. The system can handle up to 30% water vapor at flow rates up to 6 lpm.

Technician’s Notes Cherokee recommends the use of a heated head pump to push stack gas through the conditioner. Heated head pumps can be rented separately.
Cherokee Model 20D CEM Flow Control Panel
The Cherokee 20D CEM flow control panel incorporates 4 gas analyzer outputs, 10 cal gas inputs, and rotometers for each analyzer gas, cal gas flow and the bypass flow. Included is also a sample/calibration gas pressure gauge and a pressure regulator. This unit can be operated either the automatic mode which is computer controlled or the manual mode.

RATA Probe, 3-Point w/ Mixing Chamber
The RATA probe is designed to simultaneously extract a gas sample from three individual points along a single traverse. Extracted gases are combined in a heated mixing chamber prior to transport to your instrument bank. The probe is designed to accept three 1/2-stainless steel tubes that are cut to length to meet the exact source configuration. Flow rates through each tube are maintained via heated orifice. This unit is supplied with a 3/8-inch tube connection for sample gas extraction, a 1/4-inch tube connection for calibration gas injection, power umbilical and a dual-station heat controller.
