AMP-Cherokee CEMS/COMS Systems:
The New Standard for Electric Utilities and Industrial Sources

CEMS Solutions for Emissions, Process Control & FTIR Spectroscopy
AMP-Cherokee’s equipment sales and services include design, integration and certification of complete continuous emissions monitoring (CEM) systems. Our engineered designs offer system choices ranging from economical yet powerful process control systems to fully compliant EPA 40 CFR Part 60 and 75 solutions. With over 60 years of combined source sampling knowledge and equipment expertise, Cherokee’s staff is at your disposal to custom tailor a system that will exceed your expectations.

Cherokee Instruments provides direct-extractive and dilution-extractive CEMS solutions that are ideally suited for utilities, boilers, FGD performance, SCR-NOx control, furnaces, gas turbines, process heaters, incinerators, and process controls. In addition to traditional CEMS designed for maximum reliability and minimal maintenance in monitoring criteria pollutants, AMP-Cherokee can also accurately quantify exotic compounds through in-situ or extractive FTIR systems. AMP-Cherokee compact Mini-CEMS® is designed for process monitoring and control applications.

AMP-Cherokee CEM systems are easy to operate and can be configured to monitor for one or all of the following:
• NOx • SO2 • CO2 • O2 • CO • THC • Mercury
• H2S • HCl & HF Acid • NH3 • Particulate • Opacity
• Volumetric Flow and Moisture • Custom CEM Application

The AMP-Cherokee MINI-CEMS™ is a pre-engineered system designed to be economical yet as powerful as any walk-in type system available in the marketplace. This design includes a fully climate controlled cabinet with a small enough footprint that it can be placed virtually anywhere on your facility. Whether you have space inside on the facility floor, outside the facility, or at the extraction point itself, the MINI-CEMS design will keep all instrumentation free from the elements.

AMP-Cherokee's MINI-CEMS™ system incorporates field-proven analytical detectors (paramagnetic, NDIR, chemiluminescence, FID) coupled to a powerful data controller/processor for maximum flexibility and upgrade capability.

Optional data reporting software is available for Part 60 compliance.

Mini-CEMS® Components:
• AMP-Cherokee Model 20E
Flow Controller
• ESC Model 8832 Data Logger
• CAI ZRH IR Gas Analyzer

FTIR Spectroscopy
FTIR-emission spectroscopy detects the thermal radiation of hot exhaust gases, yielding all information about its compounds during one measurement.

Continuous Opacity Monitoring Systems (COMS)
AMP-Cherokee offers various opacity monitoring systems to meet specific applications. We supply anything from low cost information only systems to baghouse leak detection systems, as well as EPA Part 60, PS-1 compliant opacity monitoring systems. Our EPA compliant series can replace existing yet aging COMS, be added to an existing CEMS system, or incorporated into a new MINI-CEMS™ or Series 200 CEMS.

Already have a COMS?
Opacity quarterly audits, yearly clear stack audits and COMS maintenance programs are also available through the AMP-Cherokee Service Group.

CEMS/COMS Service Agreements
The AMP-Cherokee Service Group offers in-house equipment repair, on-site emergency maintenance and/or service agreements to meet your particular maintenance needs. You will benefit from factory trained and certified technicians working on your systems, as well as be able to rely on one of the largest inventories of temporary replacement equipment available in the nation. Certainly a comprehensive preventive maintenance program is the key to maximum up-time for your system, but in the event of complete component failure our temporary replacement equipment will allow you to maintain your peace of mind…..and production schedule!

What is the AMP-Cherokee CEMS Advantage?

Modular Design
AMP-Cherokee CEMS utilize a plug-and-play functional design for all major components. This approach minimizes manufacturing delays and offers rapid CEM maintenance and repairs.

Redundant Sampling Systems with Multiple Analyzers
AMP-Cherokee is the only CEM integrator to provide totally redundant sampling systems as standard equipment. From the probe tip in the stack to where the sample gas is introduced to the analyzers, AMP-Cherokee provides the necessary connections for four gas analyzers (six are available) as its standard CEM design.

Ease of Operation & Maintenance
CEM systems from AMP-Cherokee are the easiest to maintain due to their plug-and-play functional design and built-in sampling system redundancy. Maintenance activities are only responsible for minimal CEM downtime whenever the redundant sampling system is utilized.
